2014 Annual Conference Registration  is Open

The Annual NAMI South Dakota Conference for 2014 will be held Oct 2nd and 3rd  at the Watertown Event Center in Watertown, SD. This years’ topic is “Across Generations: Mental Health Care for All Ages”. 

Our annual educational conference is just around the corner.  Registration is now open for the 2014 NAMI South Dakota Conference, October 2-3 in Watertown.  Please mark your calendars and register early for this event.  We have three national keynote speakers joining us this year, as well as a full schedule of 15 interesting breakout sessions.  As always, CEUs are available.  Our theme is “Across Generations:  Mental Health Care for All Ages”.  We will feature information on mental health issues of children through seniors, with a special emphasis on early intervention, family care, and mind-body practices for mental wellness.  We hope you will join us!

Keynote Speakers:

Jason DeShaw- Award-winning singer and songwriter from Montana, brings a unique perspective of his journey with mental illness and music. Jason will inspire you with his music and story.

Kathy Brandt- NAMI Colorado member and advocate, is the co- author of “Walks on the Margins”, a memoir of her life and that of her son, Max, and their experiences with bipolar disorder.

Teri Brister- NAMI National leader and creator of the NAMI Basics program and other programs for parents and children with mental illness, will bring information and ideas for improving mental health education and support for children, youth and families.
